I finished the 'Wee Mittens'! 

Thoughts on project:

I heart Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK, it is worth the splurge.

I'm not great at making stitches (M1) without a hole. 

Do you knit the front leg of the stitch on that newly made little guy?

I'd like to make a little icord to join the mittens on a string, like my great grandma made for me when I was little.  I don't know how long the string should be for 1-3 year olds, do you?

Also, I modified the pattern slightly-

For largest size, I knit the body of the mittens to 4 1/2 (not 4 3/4), and instead of 4 stockinette rows on the thumb, I only knit 2 rows.
